Chapter 15: His Reputation

1. Read Proverbs 22:1 in your Bible and underline it. Why do you thing God puts such a high value on having a good reputation?

2. What are three ways our reputations can be ruined?

3. Have any of the three ways mentioned previously happened to you  and/or your husband? Explain.

4. Do you feel your and/or husband's reputation have been damaged? How so? How do you feel about that? Do you believe God can restored your good name?

5. If you feel that your or your husband's reputations have been damaged in any way, write a prayer asking God to redeem, and restore your good names. Whether anything like that has happened to your or not, write a prayer asking God to keep this kind of situation from happening to you in the future.

6. Read Proverbs 31:23 in your Bible and underline it. DO you think a virtuous wife automatically deserves a husband who is respected, or does she have an important part to play in that happening? What part could sh play?

7. Read Psalm 17:8,9 in your Bible and underline it. In these days of lawsuits, it is worth your time and effort to pray that such things never bring destruction upon you or your husband. How could you pray the above Scripture over you and your husband?

8. Gossip can destroy reputations quickly. Write a prayer asking God to protect you and your husband from it.

9. If damaging gossip has already been spread about your or your husband write a payer asking God to silence those voices and be your Defender. Ask Him to bring restoration and help you and your husband to forgive the people who gossiped.
